The Gospel Music Association’s annual Dove Awards happen tonight, and our own Dan Hannon is nominated for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for producing Aaron Shust’s “Whispered and Shouted.”

Mark Hall and his band Casting Crowns netted 11 nominations. Back in the day, when Mark wasn’t crazy busy, we used to write songs together, hang out, play golf. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
We’re back from Nashville and I’m recovering from what turned out to be infection in my chest, throat, and sinuses; got three shots in the keister this morning. But our last day in Nashville was fun. Saw Atlantans Mox, Walker, Brad Long, the Fee guys, and many other friends yesterday. Also had various meetings on behalf of ONE Atlanta that went really well. I leave you with video of a song from the album for which Dan has been nominated. This performance is actually from last year’s GMA convention. Notice Dan playing his white Gretsch hollow body and singing BGVs.

Thanks a ton for all your support. We had a blast just being nominated and it’s kinda fun to look forward to next year already. We had so much positive encouragement from people about how ABCOJ has been played at their church and how their congregation had locked onto it as one of their “right now” worship songs. That’s our heartbeat. Win a dove or not.
