SECOND WAVE

ONE Atlanta Music has recently launched ONE Atlanta Artist Agency, to represent and facilitate appearances by some of our favorite Atlanta artists.  We’d love to arrange an appearance in your community by Second Wave.  Booking instructions below.

 

 

Second Wave is a band of talented young musicians from the Atlanta area.  Their moniker celebrates the rise of a new generation of artists, and points to the fact that most of their parents are professional musicians.

 

It all started when singer Savannah Wofford, her guitar wielding brother, Russell, and keyboardist Noah Stephens began leading worship for children at Browns Bridge Community Church (a Northpoint Community Church campus).  Excited about their chemistry and the possibility of reaching more people with their music, they officially adopted the name Second Wave and soon thereafter played their first concert together for a local homeschool event.  

 

Realizing they weren’t a complete band yet, they called upon their talented friends Holden Fincher (bass) and Grayson Arias (drums) to round things out.   The band polished up a collection of songs, including some originals, and were officially ready to rock.  

 

In October 07, the band blocked off a cul-de-sac just outside their practice room and invited friends and family to a debut concert.  Over 200 people showed up and enjoyed hearing 2nd Wave’s diverse set, from originals to worship songs to Coldplay to Skynyrd.  The band hasn’t looked back since.  Appearances include Northpoint’s Walking Wisely Weekend in front of 1000 teenagers, and a National Day of Prayer rally at the Georgia State Capitol.  In early June 08, they served as the worship band for the Fine Arts camp at North Lanier Baptist Church, north of Atlanta (video sample below).  They’ve also played schools, city parks, churches, and other venues.
